I just wanted to say a quick "hi" to
everyone since it has been sooooooooo long since I have written
anything! I can't even remember everything I have done but I know
that I have been really busy. I went to New York and competed
during the American Cup. I did really well and my coach was pretty
happy with everything. Oh, wait - I didn't do well on floor and my
coach wasn't too happy with that routine! OOPS!!! My beam was good
though and my bars were kind of just okay. But the best part was
being able to actually watch the American Cup and cheer everyone
on!! Oh, and I just got a new coat from this last camp from USAG
because we were all so cold in New York and since we all have to
look alike, well, all we had were our little warm-up jackets. So
Martha went out and got us all these really nice coats that have a
vest lining in them and they are really warm.
Oh, I also just got back from the state meet. I
saw Ashley there and her sister did really well, so did Fiffe and
Ritter. The Flytz girls did AWESOME!!! Becky and Allison both won
and the team took second place in the whole state with only three
people competing! I wish I could compete with them and still be
able to do elite. I am going to regionals also and I am so excited
to go to that meet - there are going to be some really good girls
competing. It's kind of cool to be at a meet and just be able to
sit and watch everyone and not have to be nervous about competing.
You can just cheer and look at all the leo's!
I'm still trying to get my new vault down so
that I can finally compete it. My coach is seriously going to make
me keep competing the full until I can land a 1 1/2 on about three
18" stacked mats!! Every time I think that I have a good
vault day and I'm getting close to really good 1 1/2's, well, the
next vault day is bad and I have to start all over again.
School is going really well and I can't believe
that it's almost over - I think that I will really miss it over
the summer (maybe not the getting up at 6:00 part, but I have some
really great friends that I will miss!). I did my first science
project ever for the science fair and I got a 99% out of 100 on it
so that was pretty cool because I don't even really like science
much. I also just a had a meeting at the high school and they are
being really great about my schedule for next year. I am going to
be taking match, Spanish, science, and English at the school and
then I will get tutors for the rest of the classes that I have to
take. I am not allowed to home school any more classes since I am
in high school now, but I guess I can do all my tutor work on
weekends. I know that I will need to take at least history and
literature with the tutor but I'm not sure If I have anything else
to take.
Oh my gosh - I so can't believe I almost forgot
this part!!! You guys have to go on the Flytz
website and see my first favorite coach's new baby!! Bob was
my first real coach and he took me from pre-team when I swear I
couldn't even do anything! He coached me for about 5 years until
Terry came and took me. Well, everyone really really loves Bob to
be at meets because he claps for you and tells you what a great
job you do even if you fall!! Well, this is the best part - his
baby was born On My Birthday!!! So, now Bob will always remember
my birthday because I have the same one as his son!!
Okay, I leave for Switzerland soon and I hope
we get some time to see it because my mom says that it is such a
beautiful place. She says that if I only get to do half the tour,
well, I picked the best half! I have a new camera to take with me
that isn't a digital one because nobody will sit still long enough
for me to get a digital camera ready to take the pictures. So now
I can get some pictures before everyone is already leaving me!
I'll hurry when I get back and send some pictures to Morgan so she
can put some of them on this site for you to see. I forgot to take
pictures while I was in New York but Sarah's mom is going to send
me some but you can just go to Sarah's
site to see those so I won't post them on here.
I'm really glad that I get to compete for part
of this tour, but my coach already told me that if I didn't make
the tour, I would get to compete at the Friendship Classic so that
I wouldn't have to waste any of my routines since I have been
working on them so much. Well, I was kind of hoping to see Grace
this weekend!! So, now I guess I will have to wait and see her at
Classics. Oh, and Verona VanDeLeur (something like that) and Zhang
Nan from China are also going to be at the Friendship Classic and
that would have been so cool to be able to compete with them.
Well, I hope I have good luck in Switzerland!!!
Bye, Bye
