Radek and Drahomira Kriz (Drahomira's maiden name was Smolikova) are the owners of Aiken Gymnastics, Inc. and have coached in the United States, as well as in Czechoslovakia (they are originally from Czechoslovakia). Some of their accomplishments include:

  • Draha finished 9th AA at the 1975 European Championships. She was also on the Czechoslovakian National Team and competed in the 1976 Olympic Games held in Montreal. The team placed fifth in the world.

  • Radek was with the National Team of Czechoslovakia as a coach.

  • Draha and Radek produced several national champions for Czechoslovakia. The best known of the gymnasts was Hana Ricna who was a silver medalist on balance beam in the World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary in 1983. She was also a bronze medalist on bars in the Montreal World Championships of 1985.

Aiken has produced many other great gymnasts, including current Level 10s and Junior Olympic standouts Sally Moser and Nicole Pechanec. Sally was an alternate to the 2004 J.O. Nationals and Nicole finished 8th all-around and 2nd on beam in 2005! Former Aiken gymnast Meagan McCowan even got a gymnastics scholarship to the U.S. Air Force Academy and Rachel Hannah received a full scholarship to Towson University, in Maryland!
