| We traveled to Atlanta by van. Then we flew to Vienna, Austria via Frankfurt, Germany. Traveling with friends is like one big slumber party. First we played, and then we slept. | ![]() |

During our stay in Europe, a gym in Krumlov, Czech Republic hosted our team. We stayed two girls to a family. I stayed with Martina (13), in the red jacket, and her family. Her brother Radek (16) was into soccer. Their house was right by a soccer field. Her Grandmother would come over everyday to cook. She was so nice. She would bake us SWEETS. She even made me a lunch for the airplane ride home. (I don't like airplane food.) I would rate them a four diamond hotel. They had everything!!!! |

One of the highlights of my Europe trip was learning my new floor routine. I really LOVE it. Unfortunately, it will still be awhile before I perform it. Lenka, my choreographer, (and the world's most talented choreographer) hurt her back. Even though she is smiling here, she was limited to what she could do. And I am still recovering from an injury that happened in July. But when we are both up to speed then you'll know that I am not crazy. And if you are up to speed you'll have a hint about my new floor. |

Another highlight of my trip was watching event finals in
Debrecen, Hungary. We were able to watch the Beam and Floor
finals. If you watched them on TV then you heard us cheering for
Ashley and Samantha . I am so happy for them. |

This is where we stayed in Decin, Czech Republic. We competed in a meet there. It is near the German border. The hotel we stayed in was like a castle. And we were treated like Queens. |

Just like all meets this was another great learning experience. I actually caught two Ricna's in warm-up. But the one that counted, I fell on. I ended up with firsts on vault, bars, and floor. The beam was another story. I am either on or off on this apparatus. And during this meet I was really off. I ended up placing third All-Around. I was pretty excited to be competing. I still have a long way to go before I can compete with the caliber of girls I saw in Hungary. But my coaches have been very patient with all the setbacks I have had. They keep encouraging me. However, they interpreted the award that I won at the meet differently than I would have. The award was for "The gymnast with the most difficulty". They (my coaches) said it was for, "The gymnast who was the most difficult to work with". I am sure they must have been joking. |

I still have a lot of pictures to add to my European album. However, after eleven days away I hear school calling, or maybe it is my parents. My PSAT's scores have come back. If I can't make it on my beauty or athletic ability, they (my parents) suggest that I still have a chance to make it on my brains. So it is off to Geometry I go. (I know I still need work in grammar. But it is one of my least favorite subjects.)
Grace :)
