Picture 1: This is the Krumlov team which hosted us.
Picture 2 & 3: This is the gym we worked out at in Krumlov.
Picture 4: This is the art museum in Krumlov. You had to wear slippers
over your shoes to walk through it. I really loved this place. I even
bought a picture here.
Picture 5: This, I think, is the castle we had our reception in at
Decin.
Picture 6: This is the Hradcany castle complex. The president lives
here.
Picture 7: This is a guard outside the castle. I wish I had his
concentration at gym meets. Nothing fazed him.
Picture 8: This is a toy shop. I am not too impressed with Barbies as
you can see.
Picture 9: I loved this shop. The door was only 5 feet high.
Picture 10 & 11: This is the 17th & 18th century Church of St.
Nicholas. It is known for it's baroque architecture.
Picture 12: Yes, we did go bowling. No, I won't give any scores.
Picture 13 & 14: This is the Charles Bridge. I bought hats here for
some great friends. The bridge is over 600 years old. Legend says this is
because eggs were mixed in with the motar..
Picture 15-18: It's time to say good-bye. First we check our bags in at
the airport in Vienna. On the plane I especially like how they come around
every 30 minutes and offer Milka (chocolate) and Sprite. See the smile on
my face? Now, it's time to do the paperwork. You have to declare what you
are bringing back home. And finally, I am planting my feet in the good ole
USA. Home Sweet Home!
I hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane. I will be visiting it
again this year. My Geography class will be covering it. Do you know your
History? Who was John Huss? What was the Velvet Divorce all about? I
peeked ahead in my book so I know!
